LASER ENGRAVING
What is it?
Laser engraving is a process which engraves or etches a
logo onto (normally) a metal product. Engraving to other
materials such as wood may also be available. Since the
logo is etched on the the product, long term durability
of the decoration is guaranteed.
Laser engraving enables fine detail but shading or
colours are generally not available. The following is an example of the subtle engraving on chrome.

Laser engraving is available for metal but not plastic
pens.
Examples
Following is an example of a business card holder
which has been engraved, producing a professional
result:

The following example shows the fine detail available
with this decoration method (while the on-line photo may
not be as clear, the result was very sharp):

Stainless steel drink or sports mugs which come in
colours, provide a great effect when engraved.
Here is an example of a metallic blue mug which has been
engraved:

What should
I be aware of?
Customers should be aware of the subtle look of
engraving on chrome or similar coloured metals. While
this is a common and sometimes desirable result, some
customers may have a different perception of the final
result.
Some pens show a brass colour (see above examples), when
engraved. It you're in doubt about the colour of the
metal below the coloured surface, please ask before
proceeding.
